MBA Helps Law Students During Exam Week
More than 250 law students and staff received a special treat on Monday, the first day of finals—lunch and massages provided by the MBA! The effort is part of the association's on-going outreach to the law school and students. Students enjoyed free pizza and fruit, plus a 5-minute massage from Massage on the Go, to relieve the stress of the first exam day. Dean Kevin Smith expressed the law school's appreciation: "Please permit me to join in praising the MBA [and staff] for making possible the lunch and massages for the students (and some of the staff.) I have heard nothing but wonderful comments from the students. It is tremendously kind of the MBA...to provide such a good beginning to the exam period." Special thanks to MBA staff members Mary Lynes and Lesia Beach for overseeing this effort.

The goal of the program is to put members of the MBA before hundreds of classrooms, civic and church groups, and business/professional organizations to educate the general public on the importance of our justice system and what it means in our daily lives and work. Currently, the MBA is looking for volunteers to lead the discussions as well as venues and groups for "Law Rules" speakers to address. Help us reach our goal of 200 visits! If you would like to volunteer or would like to schedule a speaker for your group or organization, please contact Anne Fritz at email@example.com or 901.527.3573. Please note that a training session will be held in early 2012 to prepare speakers for the presentations and provide them with materials to use as reference.
